Ripping Yarns Was a Half-hour British Comedy Series that lasted nine episodes and witten by former Pythons Terry Jones and Michael Palin.
The plots were all different and were often spoofing the type of stirring adventure stories found in boys'
annuals of the early- to mid-20th-century.
Ripping Yarns Started out as just a one off BBC Program named "Tomkinson's Schooldays" and was filmed in 1975 and
is said to be inspired by Thomas Hughesy's Tom Brown's Schooldays..
Another eight Ripping Yarns episodes and only Eight Ripping Yarns episodes were made as the cost of prodution was far too high,
It perhaps is because of this that the show has stood the test of time far better than others alike for
because the Ripping Yarns episodes were in few (much like the in-complete John Cleese's Fawlty Towers), Each episode is cramed with a wealth of comedy and well casted..
Fellow Former Python John Cleese even made an ultra-brief but wonderful cameo appearance in the Ripping Yarn episode'Golden Gordon'
