<title>JIM CARREY AND STEPHEN HAWKING: PARTNERS IN COMEDY
</title>
<link>http://www.randomboo.com/RssFeed.html</link>
<guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.randomboo.com/RssFeed.html</guid>

<description>Canadian funnyman JIM CARREY has formed a comedy duo with the most unlikely of partners - acclaimed academic PROFESSOR STEPHEN HAWKING.

The DUMB + DUMBER star wowed the audience of Thursday night's (22MAY03) CONAN O'BRIEN SHOW in America when he went into detail on his recent readings on an ekpyrotic universe.

As the audience sat astounded by Carrey's passion for the scientific theory, the comic's mobile phone rang, where he launched into a comedy skit with the physicist, who said in a recorded piece, "I just wanted to call you to tell you how happy I am that you're excited about the new ekpyrotic universe theory. But don't bother trying to explain it to them. Their pea brains cannot grasp the idea of the world on the brane (corr)."

Hawking then said he had to leave as he was in the middle of watching Dumb + Dumber, before the pair engaged in a gushing exchange over who was the greater genius.

And Carrey was so thrilled with his comedy coup, he performed it again for the audience.

Carrey says of securing Hawking for the sketch, "We called him at CAMBRIDGE and he goes, 'Oh, that sounds like fun.' He was a big CABLE GUY fan apparently! It was like EINSTEIN doing a bit with you."

<description>Former Playboy pin-up JENNY MCCARTHY has ruled out marriage to boyfriend
JIM CARREY because she's convinced their love will last forever without
the need for a wedding ceremony. The model/actress insists that living together
is enough for both stars, who have been married before, and she's tiring of wedding
and children questions. In an effort to end the media speculation about where the
romance is going, MCCarthy tells America's In Touch Weekly magazine,
"We're living together... and we're very happy - all that's (marriage)
going to be is a piece of paper, really. "What is it a guarantee of?
I'll be yours forever? I'll be faithful? Bull! "He (Carrey) is the
light of my life and we're more in love now than we have been in our
entire relationship." And the mother-of-one insists she doesn't want any more children:
"This womb is closed."

<title>REITMAN AND CARREY TEAM UP FOR FRENCH FARCE PIERRE PIERRE
</title>

<description>Oscar-nominated director Jason Reitman and Hollywood funnyman Jim Carrey have been confirmed for upcoming comedy Pierre Pierre.
Canadian-born Reitman, who received an Academy award nod for acclaimed teen pregnancy movie Juno, is in line to produce and direct the comedy.
Pierre Pierre, described as a "politically incorrect story"
by the Hollywood Reporter and Variety, is about a disillusioned Frenchman (Carrey) tasked with smuggling the Mona Lisa out of the country.
The film is not the next project for either Reitman or Carrey, who was last seen on the big screen in psychological thriller The Number 23.
On Reitman's schedule is a remake of The Taking of Pelham 123, with John Travolta and
Denzel Washington replacing Walter Matthau and Robert Shaw, and Megan Fox-starring teen-horror film Jennifer's Body.
Carrey meanwhile is lending his vocal talents to Dr Seuss's Horton Hears a Who and starring in Robert Zemeckis' Christmas Carol.
He can also be seen later this year in Yes Man, the big-screen adaptation of UK author Danny Wallace's book of the same name.

<description>JIM CARREY shocked fans on DAVID LETTERMAN's late night talk show on Monday (10Mar08), when he showed up in a bathrobe and then stripped naked. The comedian performed a skit pretending he'd forgotten about the switch to daylight saving time on Saturday night (8Mar08), and was being massaged in his hotel, when he should have been on the show. After dashing onto the set wearing just a robe, socks and slippers, Carrey told Letterman, "I was at a spa at the hotel. I was in the middle of an incredible massage. Then Svetlana started talking about daylight saving time. I immediately went flaccid and I ran right over here." He then hid behind a chair, stripped down to nothing and got dressed in clothes handed to him by an assistant called Lance. Carrey also produced a prop gun he told the host was for scaring paparazzi photographers: "I'm not a very good shot. It's really about the paparazzi. Once you start waving that about..."

<description>Actor JIM CARREY is writing a self-help book for sufferers of depression who want to avoid using drugs to beat the condition. The Mask star battled with depression for years after his meteoric rise to fame in the 1990s, using Prozac and other medication to try and control his dark thoughts. But the 46-year-old states numbing the pain with medication is not the way to deal with the problem, and hopes his new book will help people focus on where their problems stem from. He says, "I dealt with depression for a while by medicating with Prozac and although it was good for dealing with the problem there and then, I wasn't getting to the bottom of my anger and frustration. "I think we have a real problem these days in that everything is treated with a drug. I think there's a whole new way of healing depression that doesn't require drugs, and I'm writing a book about it. Who better than a comedian to talk about depression right?"

<description>JIM CARREY has scored the biggest movie debut of 2008 - as an animated elephant. The funnyman's Horton Hears A Who! has topped the U.S. box office with a $45.1 million (GBP22.5 million) opening weekend haul. The film marks Carrey's second outing as a Dr. Seuss character - he also took the lead in How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The family film easily held off the competition at the U.S. box office; last weekend's chart-topper, 10,000 B.C., dropped to number two with a $16.4 million (GBP8.2 million) second weekend take. Djimon Hounsou's ultimate fighting film Never Back Down debuted at three with $8.6 million (GBP4.3 million). The new top five in America is: 1. Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! 2. 10,000 B.C. 3. Never Back Down 4. College Road Trip 5. Vantage Point
