Born in 1945 under the name Robert Davis, The comedian (now known as Jasper Carrott) First appearance in showbiz was as a resident singer
in solihull at the Boggery Folk Club, it was here that he discoverd and made a name in Comedy.

A box-office breaking national tour of 100 concerts was next on his list and in 1979 made his television film called 'Carrott Gets Rowdy',
He was named ITV Personality of the yearfor his television live show 'The Unrecorded Jasper Carrott' at the Theatre Royal.
But it was in 1992 That Jasper Carrott got his 'BBC' Personality Of The Year..

and was awarded an OBE in 2002
